Room 302-Sophomores Though we had to give up the coveted title sf little dar- lings which was our posses- sion in the freshman year, yet we were filled with a Certain feeling of pride at the thought of the cncoming sophomore year Under the excellent guid- ance afforded us in our fresh- man year, we gained certain adult characteristics, returning one year later, we found our- selyes more mature and more poised than before Our aims in life became more clearly illustrated, our goals just a lit- tle more visible We are slowly revolving from iuyenility into an age of serious purpose -- into discerning womanhood Slowly, for childhood with its contentment, merriment, and imagination is not willingly left, and yet, fervidly, for adulthood, with its trials and tribulations, joys and happi- ness, is a path shrouded in darkness, and who is not an- xious to explore new, mysteri- ous worlds? True, there is a great deal more knowledge to be fulfilled, but with the blessings of the Sacred Heart, the tender influence of our teachers, and our own perse- verance, we hope to obtain a full, abundant life that will lead us to our eternal goal- l-leayen, lncidentally, have you met the newcomers from Room 3029 I assure you that they're quite a pair, I am very happy to introduce you to the new- comers, Myrt and Gert, You probably remember how the audience laughed when they met them for the first time Yes, studies, socials, skating parties, comedies, and dances these fitted into our daily schedule We tried hard ln all things, We Stocped to Con- quer inf- Artic Z F rtnfg K iff r 1 Ar' jrl- lrfng K fyfyyi- Arn Pc irz' D r- - V t w .
