To try to sum up in a brief paragraph au that he has meant to us in the past two years would not he possihte, for each student feels a personal gratitude for some special help or henefit. We shall remember many things connected with our four years at St. Michaels hut some of our happiest memories and scenes most vividly present to the mincts eye will he associated with him. What senior cannot recall his stimulating talks at Catholic Action Chih meetingsg his raisect eye-hrows as reports were given outg informal talks in the office or at school dances and garnesg Upepn talks over the radio? Through him, in word and act, we have seen wright principtesn at Work, and few are not the hetter for it. In cooperation with the Principal anct classroom advisers, he has endeavored to guicte and clirect the tives of the students, and to fit the school program to the students' needs. In whatever he has undertaken he has manifested a capahte anct intelligent leadership. Early in our acquaintance with Father Alexander we Found out the meaning of his promise 'Ito he ttinct, hut Firm. AH have Icnown his kindness: few had the temerity to put his firmness to the test more than once. tn him we found exemplified the high icteais towarct which he urged us to aspire, and the exattert principles of conduct he encouraged us to practice. There can he no question about our esteem and affection for Father Alexander.
