HEVEHE U CU UH MU ASHA DP. tn the spring of 1943, Father Conor Monaghan, CP., hecame the Pastor ot St. Michaels Monastery Church, succeeding Reverend Berlin Donohue, CP., who is now Business Manager of THE SIGN. Father Conor with his competent assistants, Fathei Michaet, Father Atexander, Father Charles and Father Ronald Anthony, minister whole' heartedty and devotedty to the needs ot an extensive parish. Their supervision extends to St. Michaetys Grammar and High Schools to which they give unsethshty of their time. and assistance to the varied activities associated with Cathotic sch-oot hte. Father' Conor's visits to the schoot are usuatty the essential ones of a husy man with many duties. Engaged with the constant demands ot the ttoct: under his spiritual Care and guidance, Father Conor has tittte time tor direct personal contact with the students of the high school, hut att welcome him whenever he is tree to he present at the games and other high school events, and tisten with interest to his deep voice, heard on occasion during the year, over the schoot radio. The zeat and tarsightedness of Father Conor have heen strikingly evidenced in the wortc he has undertaken ot huitding a Parish Halt. A huitding for parish and school activities has heen a tong-felt need and to mt that need Father Conor is hending att his energy. His unttagging ettorts to further the project and hring it to comptetion have not tessened, in spite ot the ditticutties he has had to contend with. Even the ohstactes inci- dent to the war have not heen ahte to dampen his enthusiasm or to daunt his courage. The students of St. Ntichaets are also interested in the accomptishment of Fathers ptans, and ptedge their support. The Class of '45 took forward to meeting Father Conor and atumni ot the high schoot at the future Michaetian games, plays and sociat events hetd in the new St. Ntichaets Memorial Hatt. I5
