T. A Message to the Class of 1967 Gentlemen: You have graduated from St. Michael’s High School, an institution known throughout New Mexico for its academic excellence and well-balanced extra-curricular program. But St. Michael’s is known more so for the men that have passed through its halls in the past 108 years. You have behind you the great traditions of the past and the actualities of the present to build your own future. This is a time of change and disturbance. We have had our share; but good has been done and advancements have been made. This fall we will move into the “new St. Michael’s”. What will be new? We hope to advance in the excellence of education presented. But we are most anxious to keep the proud heritage of being St. Michael’s Men that has been ours from 1859. God’s blessings, men of the class of‘67. May you be as proud to be a HORSEMEN as St. Michael’s is to have had you in her halls and among her sons. . that which we are, we are -- One equal temper of heroic hearts, Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.” Tennyson 2 FACULTY ADMINISTRATION Brother Benjamin Hogan, Principal, and Mr. Dick Shelly, Assistant Principal. MICHAEL’S HIGH SCHOOL 413 College Street Santa Fe, New Mexico 87501 Dear Seniors, As you take leave of St. Michael’s and enter the adult world, you will find that all the answers aren’t easy to find. Perhaps you will be shocked to find out that there are so few absolute answers that you can demand. The looks, replies, and intona- tions will say to you, “Find your own answers. Don’t you know what you live by?” We have, during the time you have been at St. Michael’s, tried to help your parents in their work of showing you what is good in life, what is true, and what is beautiful. We believe in the Gospel. We hope diat diis will guide you. We believe in Christ. We hope diat you will believe and love Him and His truths. We hope diat you will love and hold on to that which is true and beautiful. May you continue to use the education which your parents and this your school have tried to instill. May you assimulate it and make it part of you more and more as you continue your education in life. We have helped as much as we could, yet we know that it isn’t the end of the road. We wish you God speed as you continue through life and we will always keep a special place here at St. Michael’s in honor of the class of‘67. Sincerely, 10 Brother Ralph Mahan, F.S.C.
