Uur Hope for the Flowers At the beginning of June, I979, the new Senior Class was allowed into privileged Senior Glen. All were excited because they, the Javelins, waited years to enjoy the beauty and peace of the glen. At a class meeting, the Seniors discussed plans on ways to make them a Senior Class. There was a suggestion that the Seniors beautify the glen by flowers in their class colors of Rust and Gold. A few days later a meeting entire class was called to vote on the suggestion. it was a unanimous deci they would plant the flowers. This goal became ' . that DEFENDER to capitalize on they would grow. We for the Flowers. tomorrow. Chauncis , who are Hroses ...to the Chanels, class of i98l, who are the Hflowers growing strong an 'You are embraced by the glowing sun. All of us wait for the beauty you wil show us. We, the Yearbook Staff, believe that there is hope for every flower that is planted. These seeds that were planted in the Senior Glen were placed there with the hope want THE this senior adventure. Therefore, our theme selection for this year is HOPE FOR THE FLOWERS and our de- dication is extended to each and every person who is part of St. Michael's High . . . Our Hope ...to our faculty who has shared creatively and enthusiastically. Besides helping us improve academ- ically, they have worked to better us spiritually and morally. From them we have learned to value our Faith and to hope for a better ...to the LaTaes, class of l983, who started as Htiny seeds planted in the soil of educationn. They have matured into Hdelicate ladiesm fit for the responsible positions awaiting them in the future. ...to our class of l982, the touched by the morning dewu.
