The time is 1850. The place is the streets of London. And walking along the street is a small orphan boy named Oliver. This scene is familiar to almost everyone. It is the setting for Charles Dickens ' classic tale, Oliver . This play was brought to life on St. Mike ' s stage as this year ' s spring musical. Much new talent came to the fore in this play and many of these young actors and ac- tresses will no doubt be seen in future productions at St. Mike ' s. Fr. McKinnon once again directed the play with assistance from Mr. Story, Mr. Thomp- son, and Sr. Edna Martin from Loretto Ab- bey. Mr. John Guerriere orchestrated the fine student musicians. That famous line, Please sir, I want some more, was possibly the thought of many in the audience as the final curtain fell.
