Appreciation Dear Monsignor, On the notable occasion of your fortieth anniversary to the priesthood, we the class of l959, dedicate to you our Archangelo, as a token of our deep ap- preciation and sincere gratitude for all that you are, and all that you have done for us. We do not speak for ourselves alone, but we echo the thoughts of the more than two thousand graduates who have also come within the range of your in- fluence and inspiring example. Many of these have heard the Divine call and like you have entered the ranks of the sacred priesthood, and a great number have been inspired to follow the religious life. But the vast maiority have become the splendid body of good Catholic lay men and women, who in every age and every place are the backbone of the Church. As we look back over the many distinguished alumni whose achievements have brought honor to our school, we eagerly hope that we too will make you equally proud of us. Of one thing however we are certain, and it is that the ideals which you have implanted in us, will remain an inspiration, and an incentive to prove our- selves worthy of your trust. The divine truths with which you have brought us into contact, and which you have interpreted for us by your life will God willing, be the standard by which we shall always live.
