FOREWORD Four years ago, we of the class of 1959 entered St. Mel High School as timid freshmen. Time has advanced, however, and now we stand at the end of our high school training and on the threshold of the world. As we think back over that four year interim, many joys and thrills, hopes and disappointments come to our minds. Most of all, though, we reflect upon the abundant knowledge received, not only in the classrooms, but in every aspect of school life. We can easily see the progress we have made since our introduction to St. Mel. As we examine each facet of our high school career, we perceive a clear image. Each student sees the distinct doors he has opened during this time. Only now can we realize the ways by which these doors were opened - with the specially molded keys which lie in the possession of St. Mel High School. They are keys which open the doors to entirely new vistas of education - intellectual, spiritual, physical, and social. Thus the Class of 1959 is proud to offer this memento to every St. Mel student, so that all may see the opportunities afforded them and may someday look back, as we do, on the doors which have been opened by HTHE KEYS TO SUCCESS?
