lbechca fion Wliat makes a man, a man? Is it a quick smile, or a wave of the hand? Just what is it, that makes a man a man? Perhaps it's a kind word, or a soft reprimand. Maybe it's all ol' these, these little things that make a man a man. Yes, it is these little things that lorm the counterweight, and give balance to the strength and justice of strong Christian principles which are factors that make a man a man. The l952 KNIGHT is very happily dedicated to Mr. VVilliam P. Connolly, B.S.C., M.Ed., who in his twenty-five years at St. Mel has been instrumental in the molding of the character of literally hundreds of young men. This man, who we all know so well, has many gifts, which he gives to us daily and with which we are so familiar, that at times they pass by unnoticed. His wit is sparkling, his patience is long-enduring, his understanding is most comforting, and his aid is always close at hand. Mr. Connolly is a man who will long be remembered for he pos- sesses all of the qualities which make him truly a YVHOLE MAN. Page n
