It 1411 C'omeA Kuala' Inseparable from the memories that well up in our minds when we reminisce about the year are the scenes about the school build- ings--the beautiful marble entrance stairs of both buildings, the spacious, well-kept halls, and the inspirational Shrines of Our Lady of Fatima. Gur daily stand at the bulletin board, exciting contests in the gymnasium, the happy, carefree hours in the lunchroom- all crowd into the picture. In all of these scenes which we re-live in fancy we realize that it is the people in them that color them-the faculty members, the friends. classmates, and team associates. So it is that both persons and places are with us once more when lt All Comes Back .

TIME, WE LEARN, IS A GREAT DECEIVER. ASSUMING THE SEMBLANCE OF SNAIL-PACED PASSING, IT CLOAKS THE REALITY OF ITS FLEET-FOOTED FLIGHT. IN PROSPECT, IT DIS- PLAYS ITS MISLEADING DISGUISE: IN RETRO- SPECT, ITS TRUE NATURE. THE TIME OF HIGH-SCHOOL LIFE IS NO DIFFERENT. ACTUALLY, WE CAN NEVER RE- LIVE THE SLOW-MOVING DAYS OF THE YEAR THAT HAS GONE SO RAPIDLY. VICARIOUSLY THOUGH, WE CAN. IN PICTURE AND WORD THE FAST-MOVING, EVENT-FILLED YEAR OF 1950-51 AT ST. MEL HAS BEEN PRESERVED IN THIS BOOK. BECAUSE THEY FEEL THAT NOW, AND OFTEN IN THE YEARS AHEAD, ITS CON- TENTS WILL BRING IT ALL COMES BACK TO THE LIPS OF PRESENT-DAY MELMEN, THE EDI- TORS HAVE ADOPTED THESE WORDS AS THE THEME OF THIS, THE SECOND VOLUME OF THE KNIGHT.
