Beta Club Deepens Ambition Nancy Ott and Ann Frazier put on Indian war paint during A Quiet Home Wedding . The Beta Club has had a very rewarding year under the guidance of Tommy Knight, President; Peter Savitz, Vice-President; Patricia Phillips, Secretary-Treasurer; and Mrs. M. O. Nelson, Advisor. The staff is made up of students from all the high school classes. The editor is chosen from the Senior Class by the advisor. The other officers are chosen by the editor and the advisor together with help from the principal. Past achievements and work rec- ords are the basis for these selections. Each year the staff sponsors some event to raise funds for the printing of the paper. However, the selling of advertise- ments to businesses furnishes the main source of money. This is done by members of the staff during the summer. Mrs. Morris, Advisor; Aurelia Ott, Editor; Gwen Sturkie. Assistant Editor. Yellow Jacket Staff plans another issue. 19
