The purpose of this project is to help establish a good re- lationship between the students of the two schools. The Council also has charge of Homecoming cere- monies. It has the responsibility for providing as- sembly programs at which the president presides. An outstanding project of our Council is support- ing a boy in a Korean orphanage. The money for his support is raised by selling school supplies and from collections from the student body. School elections for student body officers, May Court royalty, Homecoming queen, and cheer- leaders are conducted by the Student Council. Kim Yung Hui, bom in Korea in 1952, was adopted by the Student Council in 1961. O. Nelson, advisor. They all worked hard compiling a scrap book to enter in the judging at convention. Speaking of con- vention . . . That's where some of the members were, February 21-23. Besides being educational and informative, the convention also proved to be loads of fun! The money-making activity of the year was the car wash. The Betas worked all day cleaning the cars of their supporters.
