TEEN TIME, a three-act comedy by Anne Coulter Martins. shows what happens when a young man tries to win his girl friend from a dapper and equally young rival. by having her elected Teen Queen of a newly constructed Teen Haven. Tim. a handsome lad, forms a plan to have his girl friend. Wendy. chosen Teen Queen. lVendy is dazzled by an over-polite, young boy. Harley Evans. who owns an impressive yellow convertible. Tim has placed posters in all the teen hangouts in town. and to pay for the food promised in the campaign slogan. he supposedly borrows Darby's uncle's power mower to cut lawns. Tim discovers he has taken the wrong mower. one belonging to Mrs. Nash Cwho believes it stolenj, the lady who owns the building where the Teen Haven is. The mower breaks and Tim places a For Sale ad in the paper hoping to sell his truck so he can pay the repair bill. Mrs. Nash. realizing that the address and phone number in the ad and those of the Meade residence are identical. thinks hir. Meade is bankrupt, and decides she will not award him her contract. Mrs. Nash accuses Miss Denning of knowl- edge of Mr. Meadeis situation and threatens her with the loss of her job. She says she will have Tim expelled from school because he admits taking the mower by mistake, and the Teen Haven will be closed. However. when the confusion suhsides. Mrs. Nash concedes that she has been hasty. WVendy is named Teen Queen and she chooses Tim for her King . . . a gratifying climax to a delightfully amusing play. Mrs. Nash faints when Tim reappears in his flight from Milligan.
