Our 105-11 hasehall team mmpleted the seasun with a record of eleven vim-- tories and nine defeata. Among the players who deserve special merit are Dave Friday. leading hat- ter with a .318 average. and George Sehuttig. fleet- fnoted center fielder who played errorless hall and made several outstanding vatches during: the vuurse of the Season. The piteh- ing staff was led hy big Joe Orsini. who made his dehut against Sc-otia High and heat them 6-3. Joe. who ended up with a 4-0 record. pitched brilliant relief hall in many in- stances. while appearing in fourteen contests. General team opinion gives a special nod to the S.lVl.l. - Vincentian game as the one hest played. ln it.
