As Seniors Step Into Real World On Thursday, May 10, commencement exercises were held at Mason-Haplin Fieldhouse at Rockhurst College. Valedictorian, the top scholar, was Ellene Stoecklein. Salutatorian, second ranking student was Ann Dumsky. St. Mary's Madallions were awarded to the outstanding male and female students. Recipients were Mark Petrovic and Chris Woods. In his speech, guest speaker, Thomas Kipp told the graduating seniors, ' 'The true test of a complete per- son is how well he' 11 be able to live with his fellow man in harmony.'' At the reception at Massman Hall teaiy-eyed gradu- ates were welcomed with open arms by family and friends as they took the big step into the world. 171
