Parents Go on Pupils' Schedule On the first day of school Freshmen pay strict attention to the teacher no matter at what angle they may have to turn or twist... the first day, that is. Forty-two St. Marys students participated in the National Latin F.xaminations taken in March by over 80,000 students throughout the U.S. an its possessions. A Class schedule for parents replaced the October PTA meeting. Parents lit- terally followed in the footsteps of their student sons and daughters. Many, moving upstairs, downstairs, from room to room at each bell signal, took the opportunity of learning what teachers expect of their pupils, and some of the things that make for a better understanding. During refreshment time at the end of the day”, parents and teachers en- joyed chatting with old friends and making new ones. 23
