Making the Grade Academics — the focal point of the educational experience here at St. Mary’s. A tradition of excellence second to none. The learning environment in our school is one that must be ex- perienced first-hand to be fully ap- preciated. Through diversified sub- ject matter from “Foods of the World” to Physics and small pupil to teacher ratios, a student has a grand opportunity to grow intellec- tually. Each of the courses offers a chance for the pupil to become familiar with an instructor and his or her own insights and acquired knowledge of the topic at hand. Much more can be grasped by all in this manner than could ever be learned as “just a number” in a large institution. But the most important academic benefit that our school has to offer, the one that draws the line between ourselves and other facilities, is the instruction of the life of Christ. Through a Catholic education — classes in morality, Christian ideals, etc., the student is exposed to a way of life superior to the com- mon mode of thought. Christian ideals and high standards — chari- ty, compassion, and understanding — are instilled in every one of us. This, along with the family environ- ment of St. Mary’s, makes our school the right place where your full potential as a well-rounded per- son can be realized.
