H uM UW ► Justice Unity Graduation symbolizes a beginning as well as an end. With echoes of our late President’s words resounding in our hearts, we leave these familiar pathways and guide our footsteps toward distant goals. The virtue of justice must lead us in our efforts to move this new generation. Each in- dividual must be honest with himself and his neighbor before one nation can be just with another. All must put aside their hates and preju- dices and unite with friends and foes alike. Together our generation can conquer discrim- ination and venture forth to a new life. Di- vided we can only be overcome by all that we struggle-against. We reach out for freedom for all mankind. By pursuing the rays of hope and sacrifice we will be assured of the eternal light of liberty. Our goals can never be attained if deceitful means are utilized. A predominating factor in our future lives, therefore, must be truth. Every person, however, can be truthful to his fellowman only if he is sincere with himself. Above all we search for peace in our times. Although we may not complete this pursuit, we have the obligation at least to begin. As graduation takes us through this stage of life’s journey, we move forward to meet new challenges, accepting the torch that has been passed to us. 2
