West was team physician for the Blue Devils for twelve years, treating both physical injuries and hurt pride as he watched and cheered from the bench. As a member of the Pleasants County Board of Education, Dr. West helped pass measures that bene- fited all of us. He supported school activities, evea taking time from his busy schedule to chaperone school trips. Dr. West died in a car accident on Route 2, October 15, 1970.
