B.S., Davis and Elkins College M.S., West Virginia University Principal Ingram took office July 1, 1968. Mr. Ingram has been on the school staff for 23 years, serving as assistant principal since 1955, and before that as head coach of all ath- letics. New classes this year are Biology I in the freshman year to be followed by an advanced science program. Biology II was new this year. The Little Theatre was converted into a classroom for team teaching in freshman and sophomore social studies. Supervised study replaced study halls. Language arts was added to the eighth grade curriculum. Other new subjects were conservation, personal finance, dramatics, music theory, more sections of drivers’ education, and business English. As a school, we must learn to take pupils on the level where we find them and develop all of them to the extent of their abilities. We want to prepare them for their obligations as citizens of our democracy, for a rich and satisfying personal life, and for participation in some special calling.” 20
