John Henry Boner ' 41 We entered together--Principal Sam Williams and the Class of 1968. As we say good-bye to old memories, we feel that same pang of fear that we felt on our first day at SMHS. Our thoughts return to the man behind the desk in the office and we wish we could knock on his door for help one more time. Before we even try to thank him we know that no words will express what we want to say. So Mr. Williams, with all the appreciation and love in our hearts, we, the Senior Class, dedicate to you the 1968 Purple and Gold. 4 ) Sixty-eight percent of SMHS students are transported by bus each day. 6 Classes Sally Mitchell Advisor Mrs. Helen Weber A renewed sense of school spirit made 1967-1968 a go” year for SMHS students. Seniors pictured here are responsible for record- ing this school year from Spring, 1967 to Spring, 1968. They had the help of every senior in the journalism class. Mr. L. P. Ingram assisted with accounts, and Mr. Earl Watson with photography. The staff feels privileged to publish the fiftieth volume of the Purple and Gold. Looking back to that first yearbook in 1914 we find that our aims are the same as theirs ... “to present to you a true picture of school life in St. Marys during the past year.” Advertising Jeannine Worstell Sports Jack Foley Photography Jay Gerber .
