Hi! I'm Sally Anderson. I taught seventh and eighth grade math the first semester. I am an alumna of St. Marys High School, and I'm now finishing my work at West Virginia University for my B. A. degree. I like to read and play bridge in my spare time. I enjoy watching basketball and football; I like to swim and have worked as a life guard at the local swimming pool several summers. I feel that the greatest waste is the student who is capable of doing good work but does not apply himself. Hello! My name is Miss Virginia Barkwill, I teach commercial courses. I received my B. A. degree from Bowl- ing Green Business University. My hobbies are reading, anacrostic puzzles and antiques. Students, follow the Golden Rule as closely as you can. • • -- Hello! My hobbies are sewing, gardening, and doing various handicrafts. I am also interested in arranging flowers. I enjoy watching basketball and baseDall. The development of good manners and a pleasing personality are important as- sets to any student. Hi! I am Robert Adkins, junior advi- sor, teacher of bookkeeping, junior business, and driver education. I grad- uated from Salem College and I have an M. A. degree from West Virginia University. I enjoy reading and outdoor sports in my spare time. Attention! My name is Mr. Newton Anderson. The subjects I teach are Chemistry and junior high mathematics. I also coach junior high lootball and basketball. I attended Potomac State College and am a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College with a B. S. degree in Chemistry. I am working toward my masters degree at Marshall College. My hobbies are wood-carving and swimming. My advice for worth- while living is to know and to follow the Golden Rule every day.

I am Walter Carpenter, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics teacher. I hold B. A. and M. S. degrees from West Virginia University. I enjoy ''people, all sports, trees, and toads--crickets and cricks --Sunday School and teach- ing. For relaxation I bowl (duck pins), hunt, fish, boat, read and teach. Favorite character - Lincoln. Favorite writer- -Kipling. Students - - Search after truth -- prove all things and fill the unforgiving minute with sixty seconds worth of distance run. I am a native of Missouri and a graduate of Stephens Junior College and the University of Missouri. I earned my M. A. degree at Teachers College. I am teaching English 10 and Latin. Use of leisure time is no problem. I read. The student who does his con- scientious best now will enjoy high school and will probably find that he is prepared for whatever the future may bring. Dear Students - I am Mrs. Susan Cornell, an eighth grade English and reading teacher. Fairmont College is my alma mater where I received my B. A. degree in English and social studies. Reading is an enjoyable pas- time. I also love music, writing, housework, and sewing. To the students I would like to say that: Tomorrow will soon come your way.
