At an early class meeting, the members of the class selected the white rose as the class flower, green and white as the class colors, and Nil Desperandumn as their motto. Mary Jane Haverstraw Sponsors ,... , Mr. Eckert, Miss Bush, and Mrs. Van Valey Six of our class fell by the wayside during the first year: and 75 returned for another try in September, 1947. Our Sophomore carnival set records in proiit and at- tendance that haven't been equalled since. Our Sophomore officers were: President , . Our projects included operating the refreshment concession at football games, opening a recreation center at the Legion Hall, selling cards and sta- tionery, and presenting the play, The Case of the Laughing Dwarf.
