This society helps its members to understand the aims ot Catholic education and Cath- olic action, and it fosters a love and devotion to Our Blessed Mother. Under the capable leadership of Sr. M. Teresine, as moderatorg Thomas Walsh, presidentp Mary lohnson, vice- presidentg Dorothy Antil, secretaryy and Patrick West, treasurer, the sodality is one of the most active organizations in the school. Soon the day arrived,fthe day every senior is in his glory dictating to the treshies. For that day, the seniors are kings and queens! The freshmen bowed at their slightest wishes. Thus, initiations began. Cn December 8, the feast ot the Immaculate Conception, the agonies of the initiation were ended as the treshies were tormally received into the society. Following the ceremony, the entire sodality enjoyed the second annual Communion Breakfast. Throughout the year, in keeping with the religious spirit, attendance at the monthly Com- munion is emphasized. Although the main purpose of the sodality is to honor Our Blessed Mother and to promote Catholic action, our social well-being is not overlooked. According to the custom every class has the opportunity to display its talents. Without doubt, orchids should be given to the juniors tor the Cate Tres Chic, especially the Blue Danube Waltz, and the sophomores tor the Fashion Parade. On several occasions Father Horan and Father Bolger gave interesting talks on religious themes.
