aaewafzb To enter Orange from almost any point, it is necessary to cross one or more bridges. Figuratively, Orange's emergence from the sea of Texas wilderness and the rise of the class of '58 from the dark waters of ignor- ance have required crossing quite a few bridges built by human endeavor. Baptism was the first and essential bridge across the River Styx. The saving waters gave us-not invulnerability-but immortality. ln the pages of this volume, dedicated to her who crushest the head of the Stygian foe, one may catch a glimpse of those essential construction materials with which we will build our bridges across the rivers of ignorance and misunderstanding-the knowledge and insight we have acquired from our teachers, from our companions, and, last but not least, from our books. Most of our high school days have been spent at old St. Mary's. We are happy to have had a part in building this bridge from the old to the new. Wherever our paths may lead, we will go from St. Mary's equipped with the materials and the blueprints for the most important bridge of all-the bridge to Eternity.
