In wonderment I gazed upon it, Drew it thence and placed it on The velvet moss that grew near by. Struggling thru leafy barriers o'erhead A sunbeam fell upon the globe, Which caused it with hidden fires, Exceeding bright to glow. Gazing intently upon it I saw, Many changes which startled me so. First to my wondering eyes descends, Wlzzyn Farquhar of High School days, She noted among her friends, For her good nature and gaiety. I had not seen her since that day,. So long ago4-the day of Graduation. She still seemed bright and gay, Despite her grave occupation. As everyone must remember, Dear WIzzy' always said, I'll never be a doctor or a nurse, But in order to fill her purse, She found she had to work, So she was voted in Town Clerk.
