As We Were Class 0 1952 Merging from out our youthful ways To bigger things and eventful days As stars do steal their splendor bright From planets with more brilliant light So we advanced from Freshmen green To Sophr who thought we d steal the scene To win for us a name perchance We planned and gave the Snow Ball Dance The talent in our Class loomed large Our dance the proof for ue had charge With many parties held at night Our social life was sheer delight. In number now we summed six-three Ere left Propp Parsons Santhony. We studied each text from cover to cover And passed on our notes from one to another In sports, of course, we weren't outdone, For football champs we had become. As Our Lady's C ommitlee we did endeavor To make our Sodality the finest ever. Eventful days brought this year to a close And bright visions of us as juniors rose.

Flowers For Mary 't..a..,,i 5 atm llkzts ie. W, . 'will iii As We Were - Class of 1952 Once again our summer came to an end As the tints in the leaves were beginning to blend. So again to our studies, for which we all yearned, And the midnight oil - once more lowly burned. The Class seemed the same, though we missed just a few: C rowley, H oclgim, K. Gallagher, and Dick Newas, too. Our ship started sailing with Bob at the helm, And at times angry waves did all but o'erwhelm. They were rough, they were ruggedg oft very high, But extended, kind hands were always nearby. We welcomed October, it came in with a bound, We awaited the Fr0lic . Would it never roll round? Gay leaves, fancy figures, all over were hung, And half after eight, one hundred had come. And the football season came in like a whipg The cheerleaders - peppy, they too did their bit. And the team-the Maroonr- won much renown, And their name was a threat all over the town. As V. P. Champs, they achieved their goal.. All through the months, they played their role. We juniors contributed four men to the games: J. Malozt, Mike, Sully, and N ick were their names. During Basketball time it was much the same: The Maroom started out by winning each game, But week after week, how sad 'twas to learn That the luck of Sl. Maryfr took so fatal a turn. With Mary as model, months passed one by one, And her promise we thought of: I'll lead to my Son All my maidens and men who follow Him true Till Heavenly rewards are given as due. So runs the story of this year sublime As the hands of the clock mark the passing of time. 48
