Ave, Maria! How fortunate we have been to have you, Cbrirfr own Mother and Mediatrix of all graces, as guide and patron of our Alma Mater. We have indeed been privileged, as students at Sl. Mary Cathe- dral I-Iigla School, where no efforts have been spared on the part of our Reverend Fathers, teachers, and parents to educate us completely. It is to each of you, in turn, that we are deeply grateful for our training in the classics, religion, and the sciences. May these lessons always be a source of help to us on our way through adult life! You don't have to be born a genius to be an honor student - but it surely helps. Over there on the other page, are Nancy Bmw, Valedictorian, and George Stewart, Saluta- torian. The race for honors started in the ninth grade and ended after four hard and full years. Nan and Steu' won by ri length. You'll meet George again as our 1952 Labarnm editor and Nancy, a music grad. On meeting them, step up to them, and say hello ! 36
