From October 24 to 28 the stu- dents of St. Mary's observed their annual retreat. These were days of grace for the men of St. Mary's who had the opportunity ofdaily Mass, Commun- ion, visits to Chapel and recitation of the Rosary. Confessions were heard daily. With the increase of sanctifying grace and the help of the silence that predominated during these days the boys were encouraged to give serious thought to their vocation. Good use of retreat time was continually stressed by the two re- treat masters, Rev. Milton Girse, C.SS.R. and Rev. William Ryan, C.SS.R. L Wiese and C. Bucher select a booklet to read. . . . . SODALITY KNOW -- LOVE -- SERVE MARY All Sodalists strive to KNOW and, through knowing, to LOVE and, out of love, TO SERVE MARY. Each Sodalist has taken up the challenge that TOTALCONSECRATION to Mary demands of him. Through his Sodality work he learns a- bout Mary and her mission in the world and his part in that mission, He sees the need for his own spiritual development. Prayer A PLANNED SPIRITUAL CAMPAIGN and the Sacraments are the means the Sodality The Sodality Moderators meet periodically to coordinate offers him to accomplish this end. Through aCIiViIiGS of the four SFOUPS- the weekly sodality meetings the Sodalist gradually comes to realize the obligation he has to str' f ive or sanctity.
