iff' Golfers Finish - I The golf squad, under the leadership of Coach Jack Altenburger, finished the 1975 season with an overall 8-11 record, and a 3-7 record in the S.B.C. The team drove their way up the fair- way of victory, as they beat Ver- milion, New London, Edison, Pt. Clinton, Perkins, Calvert and Huron. But then put a divet into their record as they lost to St. Joe, Clyde, Vermilion, Perkins, Huron, Calvert, New London, Pt. Clinton, and San- dusky. Freshmen Finish 4-2 Un Season! y When the going gets tough-the tough get going! remarked Coach Wally Amburn as he commented about his freshmen football club. The Frosh fin- ished 4-2 as they defeated Clyde 6-0, Western Reserve 12-0, Margaretta 26-0, and Perkins 12-6. The Panther cubs lost to Fremont St. Ioe 22-8 and to Huron 20-0. E Upfer-The Lone Panther Runner Ed Opfer fleftj sets his pace in the SBC cross country meet. Ed was the only St. Mary's entrant in the race and he finished 13th in a field of many entrants. Cross Country has been discussed lately and could possibly make its introduction at St. Mary's for the 1976-77 season. 51
