Galati Girls Have Successful Season Coach Rose Nath's volleyball squad ended their 75-76 season with a 6-7 overall record and a 2-4 in the SBC. For the first time we can say the season was successful! replied Mrs. Nath at the Fall Sports Banquet. The young varsity netters beat Monroeville, Pt. Clinton, Calvert, Clyde, and Margaretta. Girl's Bag Winning Season, Sectional y Co-Champs! 5 Co-Captain Margaret McCrystal speaks her piece during time-out. Cindy Foley refreshes herself. The St. Mary's girls captured an excellent 10-5 season record and walked off as co-champions in the Class A Sectional Tournament in Norwalk. Coach Rose Nath commented about the seasonj'Our five losses came by a total of 11 points and in no way is inidcative of the way the girls played this year. The girls' only losses were to Perkins 42-41, Sandusky 39-35, Perkins 48-46, Clyde 35-34, and in state competition they lost to Mansfield St. Peter's 32-29. They ended up victorious twice over Monroeville, Vermilion, and defeated Clyde, Huron, Tiffin Calvert, Fremont St. Joe, Margaretta. amd New London to end their season. Marcia Faber was voted Most Valuable Player at the winter sports Marcia Faber som up and battles for the rebounds' banquet. She finished the season averaging 16 points per game. FRONT ROW: D.
