Father Leo Gerrity. C.P. Retreat Master Philip Dukes, Michael Tango, William Dowd, Michael Polny, Robert Baker, Chris McGowan. Retreat Our annual retreat took place Ianuary 27, 28, and 29. Needless to say, our retreat was by far the most important of all our school activities. We received much sound advice, for which we will always be grateful. Now We are much better equipped to face life's problems, having combined our spiritual education with our scholastic pursuits. May the Crucifix ever remind us of our retreat in 1958. To be worthwhile Catho- lics we must hearken to the voice of our Divine Master who says, If any man will be my disciple, let him deny himself and let him take up his cross and follow Me. Entire student body listen attentively as Father speaks to them. Honor Guard To be a member of the Honor Guard is a privilege bestowed on few. The seniors who constituted the Honor Guard did a remarkable job. Entering and leaving church was done in perfect order and maximum speed. We feel confident that the entire student body joins us in expressing sincere gratitude and apprecia- tion. 95

NA 'in-.uf Barbara Curran, our Vice President, has the honor and privilege ot crowning Our Blessed Lady. Boys ot St. Mary's express their devotion. E' 'i 'W 2 g. May Crowning Mary, we crown thee with blossoms today. Every year during the month of May, the students ot Saint Mary's form a pro- cession in honor of Our Blessed Lady. Most impressive is the crowning ot Mary as Queen and Mother. Fervent devotion saturates the entire atmos- phere. How happy Mary must be in Heaven when she looks down on us and Witnesses our devotion to her! Truly, Mary is Queen of the Angels, Queen ot the May! Father Wells recommends greater devotion to Mary Immaculate. Students ot St. Mary's show devotion to our Coronator and attendants receive last minute Blessed Lady during the May Crowning. instructions from Sister Agatha.
