STUDENT COUNCIL Under the supervision ot Father Meyer and its able officers, our Student Council has brought the students and faculty closer to- gether. Throughout the year, the Student Council has been an important and vital part ot the routine at St. Mary's. The Council is run on the principle that the self-governed are the best governed. The task ot a Councilor is not an easy one. though you may be sure it is worthwhile. It is important to the school as far as the students are concerned, for here they can come with their criticisms and problems and feel that they will be given a square deal . They realize that they are speaking to people who have sympathy with them. They are speaking to people who see their side of the problem, be- cause they themselves are students. The Council has started many projects dur- ing the year to help improve order throughout the school. Their efforts have been greatly appreciated by the students of St. Mary's.
