From our Junior summer English rests to our graduation this teacher has mode a definite im- pression on our academic careers. His wit, charm and encourage- ment has been a source of in- spiration when oil else foiled. He has brought us through the trials of Oliver Twist, the stormy romance of Tess ond Alec D'Urberville, the guilt of Oedipus, and through a long Night Sea Journey. He has been more than a teacher; he has been our friend. For that friendship we shall always be grateful.
