To The Senior Class: Your graduation gives me, at once, much pleasure and regret. I cannot but feel pride in your achievement an d the fact that you leave Saint Mary s Hall with a sense of security in your college preparatory work. Further than the firm grasp you have of the fundamentals of education, the knowledge that this School has had a part in the develop- ment of character, always your real strength and always encouraging you to think independently, gives me deep gratification. As I mention the successful conclusion ol your high school work. I am mindful of the greatest satisfaction I have in my position as Head Mistress of Saint Mary s Hall. My reward is in the knowledge that you are well prepared to till successfully any position in life you may choose, and that you will leel secure in the training in character and scholar- ship you have received here. This is a constant renewal of faith and hope lor me. Our association is almost ended except for the brief visits I bope we will share. Knowing each one ol you has given me great happiness, and my best wishes follow you wherever you go and whatever you may choose to do. I hope you will remember your School and come back to visit whenever you can. Everything important concerning your high school career has already been accomplished and said, but I should like to remind you, as you enter the greater and more complex sphere ol your activities, ol the thought upon which Saint Mary's Hall is founded: Teach us delight in simple things.
