Choir The singing often heard in chapel on Fridays is the product of many hours of steady devotion by that group of Upper School girls who form the choir. Besides chapel services, the choir gives several evening con- certs but their most impor- tant engagements are those in the spring on their sing- ing tour. Last year the choir traveled the Mid-South area singing both choral and popular music. The choir is open to girls from grades seven through twelve whether they believe that they can sing or not. Miss Reiners, the director, takes St. Mary's students, gives them a piece of music, and teaches sopranos, second sopranos, and altos to express them- selves in song. , to s - It-i , .vs it s 3 w , is-., 1 f N U ,.--' 1 My V Q ms- . ,pg ,, lr - l V ' 59 V tes, ff ' ,L - Q M ..... 5 wp- 4 ,X Ga ,V f gi V as V - --me i . l at ' 4 1' 43.2 f' K K ' 5 ' V ,4 ll, if 14 t, . . 1 K N 'ssffffff ' -,V . ,ef ' l: Sl t i ,, 1' l ,. Thespian Society The Thespian Society is made up of those girls who have spent at least 100 hours working on St. Mary's or other pro- ductions. After being inducted into the society, a member must work ZO hours each year to remain a member. The Thespians organize our Spring play andwany other productions that they feel inspired to do. This year the Thespians had a drama day for the school where duet acts, speeches, and improvisa- tions were presented. Today St. Mary's . . . tomorrow, Hollywood.
