The Reverend W. David Leech After a year of search for a new head, St. Mary's welcomes as its new headmaster The Reverend W. David Leech. Mr. Leech is an articulate man, whose versatility enables him to speak well on any subject- be it libraries, schools, women's education, or chapel announce- ments. He has attended various schools in the course of his career and has attained several degrees. Among these are a B.A. in English and an M.A. in anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania, a B.S. in L.S. from Drexel University, and a Master of Divinity from Phila- delphia Divinity School. Mr. Leech has previously served as head librarian at Roanoke Col- lege, Vicar at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, Chaplain at St. Andrew's School and Vicar at St. Andrew's School Chapel in Middletown, Delaware, and as founding headmaster of Randolph School, Huntsville, Alabama. He joins us most recently from his post as headmaster of Oregon Episcopal Schools in Portland. His wife is the former Doris Redman Brown of St. Paul, Minnesota, and his two children, Amy and Bill, attend, respectively, the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and Memphis University School. The 1974-75 school year holds promise of even better years to come and of innovations soon to be made. St. Mary's welcomes Mr. Leech, his wit, his genial personality, and his beautiful family to Memphis.
