THE CASTELLAN St. Mary ' s College of Maryland 1970 In the dynamic world we live in, change comes rapidly. Yesterday ' s dreams have become to- day ' s realities. Man has long dreamed of reaching the moon: In 1969, Man walked there. Change has come to ST. MARY ' S too. Some changes have been subtle, others more obvious. There have been alterations of attitudes, ideals, goals. We, the members of the college com- munity, are instrumental in causing change. Constant awareness of our responsibility is nec- cessary: We should be neither too hasty nor too reticent in effecting change. The CASTELLAN has accepted the responsibility for recording change in ST. MARY ' S. Some of the events of the year 1969-70 are preserved in this volume. Not all the events were recorded, for such a task is impossible. Perhaps this year will be remembered with smiles, perhaps with tears . . . but it will be remembered.
