Fighting the Saracen and his Eastern ways, Lest he through Europe a trail should blaze. Crusading for Western freedom and life; These justified the endless strife. Like these Lords and Knights of old. We too will strive to uphold The things they fought for and gave to us, Adding peace to them, by our power to discuss.

ic Uoit Miss Simms -We , the graduating class of 1956, proudly dedicate our yearbook to you. But what can we say now? How can we tell you how much you mean to all of us? There is so much that we will always remember about you: good times, when you sat in the Smoker with us laughing and talking; other times, not so good, when you scolded us or when we made you unhappy because of the things we did and felt much worse about it ourselves; times when we came to you individually, when something both- ered us, and you were always ready to lend an ear. Because of all these things and much more, v e can never say how much everything you ' ve done for us and with us means to us. Perhaps the biggest thing we ' ll remember, is the way you have been for us, behind us, and with us in everything. Really, you have been one of us. You see, we ' ve worried about you when we thought you were working too hard; we ' ve been unhappy w hen w e knew you were unhappy; and we ' ve been happy with you, and always, we have loved, honored, and respected you. When we leave here we will go many ways, but wherever we go, whenever we look back. Miss Simms , you will always be one of our most wonderful nnemories. All of us say thank you, thank you for being just plain you.
