Mel was appointed to the office by Brother Coleman, FSC, Provincial of the Christian The appointment became effective in july, 9. or to his appointment as President of Saint ry's, Brother Mel had been a member of its ard of Trustees. His most recent administrative sition was that of Principal of Saint Mary's Coll- High School in Berkeley. He has also served as ncipal of San joaquin Memorial High School Fresno, and the founding Vice Principal of La Salle h School in Pasadena. assuming the Office of President, Brother Mel ted, An education which professes to invest in qualities and ideals of young people today, must relevant to such ideals. I trust both my acquain- ce with the problems and goals of young men ay, and my intense desire for quality education l assist me in my role as President of Saint Mary's
