Through you we have attained a height in scholastic and extra-curricular activities only dreamed of in previous years. You will not always be here to greet the alumni as they return to feel this spirit which is unequaled, but you will have left such a stamp on every student's mind that your bodily presence will not be needed. THE REVEREND JOHN GARVIN, E,D, Father John is an interesting man to have as the head of a schoolg we are proud to have him as the head of OUR school. Born in Minot, he attended grade and high school there. Having graduated from the Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, Ohio, he completed his sem- inary studies and was ordained into the Priesthood in 1934. Father John has two big responsibilities. Saint Mary's Central High takes his time during the week, while his New Salem Parish monopolizes his weekends. D
