X THE STAFF AND STUDENTS OF ST. MARY’S BOYS’ ARE PROUD TO PRESENT THE 1963 EDITION OF To what shall the spirit of St. Mary ' s Boys 1962-1963 be likened? Perhaps they have much in common with the famous group who once roamed Sherwood Forest. As one surveys our Surewood forest , one sees young, healthy trees but little deadwood. The foliage is green and pleasantly set off by the white of passing cloud. Suddenly figures move from tree to tree. Is it Robin Hood and his merry men ? Identify them: Little John, Will, Friar Tuck. All are merry men living fully, lives dedicated to righting injustice in the name of their true king. Students of St. Mary ' s: If you will live fully, lives dedicated to the cause of our King, you must become Mary men . Offer to her not only your book of the year but also the year itself and then your every year. As men of Mary you will find happiness. CONTENTS.... The sad face of the problem is that the trouble has seldom originated from high school students. If he keeps faithfully busy each hour of the working day, he may safely leave the final result to itself. He can, with perfect certainty, count on waking up some fine morning to find himself one of the competent ones of his generation, in whatever pursuit he may have singled out. Silently, between all the details of his business, the POWER of JUDGING in all that class of matter will have built itself up within him as a possession that will never pass away. Young people should know this truth in advance. The ignorance of it has probably engendered more discouragement and faintheartedness in youths embarking on arduous careers than all other causes put together.” William James, Psychologist vonr iv£sr£Rw c INVESTOR.OWNED ALBERTANS SMALLEY’S RADIO LTD.
