DRAMATIC CLUB HIS year the enrollment in our Dramatic Club has been the largest since the club was organized. lt was decided to divide the members into two groups, the junior fnew membersl and the senior fold membersl. Each group has its own meeting. Part of the iri- crease in membership is perhaps due to our attendance at the Dramatic Conference at Youngstown, Ohio, last spring. More methods in play production and make-up were learned as Well as many other useful ways to better our club at the workshops on television, one- act plays, speech and make-up. Most ot the club members were present at this confer- ence. At our meetings this year we have been studying make-up and how to apply it. A complete make-up kit and two technicolored films on Make-up were purchased from the Banner Play Company. These helped us to advance our study. The local radio station on WKBI asked the club to present programs twice a month. Everyone was pleased with the invitation and it was accepted. Four such programs have been presented. We have produced four plays since last September, Grapes for Dinner , Betty Be- have , The Best There ls , the latter of which was presented in honor of Father Timothy's Feast Day. A comedy in three acts Family Tree , the main play of the year, was present- ed at the Sacred Heart Aud on February 4 and 5. We will present a program for Father Gregory, it will include the play, Mystery in the Lab . A program for Father Donald, So's Your Aunt Ann , will be staged in Iune.
