They make their debut Two identical trophies are awarded to the outstand- ing boy and girl of the year. They must excel in religious spirit, scholarship and scholastic activities. The Marian Trophy donated by Rev. G. A. Sharland is presented to Sally Prevost. The K. of C. is award- ed to Gary Anemaet. The Scholastic Banner is awarded to the class which has the lowest percentage of failures. The proud owners for the mid- year report are the Freshmen. Dolores Hogle, Claude Coupal. Each year one girl is chosen from the schools of the counties of New York to attend Girls' State. The purpose of this organization is to awaken in young women sincere convictions that are vitally needed to protect and preserve our American Democracy and our American Institutions. Sally Prevost is elected as a delegate from St. Mary's. As winner of the Elks National Foundation Youth Leadership Award, Ann Lafountain receives a $25 bond. 18 Rosina Bechard is awarded a Regents Scholarship.

in the Hall of Fame Gloria LeClair proudly exhibits the pin she is awarded as the Future Homemaker of America. She won this honor through competitive ex- amination taken by all The Seniors of American high schools. Celine Racine receives a year's subscription to the Readers' Digest. Leeward Babbie is the winner of a $50 War Bond offered by Local 1065 International Association of Machinists to an all around student in the Senior class. The students that maintain all their marks above 95. 90 or 85 percent are listed on the Honor Roll. For the first semester, the successful pupils are: Pauline Beaudin, Catherine Wells, Dolores Hogle, Beatrice Bechard, Marianne Willett, Sally Prevost, Claudette Lepage. ■ Each year a gold key of Our Lady of Wisdom is awarded for Scholarship, Loyalty and Achieve- ment. The lucky girl is Pauline Fecteau. James LeClair receives an award offered by the Danforth Foundation for demonstrating distinct qualities of leadership.
