She performed all her actions with exquisite perfection. She possessed in their fullness the Christian virtues and cultivated the qualities derived from them with loving devotion. All the phases of Her life—her Childhood, the Visitation, the Flight into Egypt are examples of supreme virtue and selfless service to God and humanity. At St. Mary's Academy, personalities are molded by guidance in the path of holiness through imitation of the virtues shown by our Heavenly Queen. Marianites are taught to invoke Her in their daily tasks, and to beg of Her the help necessary to lead happy lives. Thus, in praying to Mary and doubling for Her in their spiritual, scholastic, and physical activities, individuals are prepared to serve their God, their Church, their Country and their fellowmen. TO THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION OF OUR BLESSED MOTHER As a token of our faith in this dogma of our Church -which proclaimed her free from the stain of sin, as an expression of filial gratitude for four years of tender love, constant protection, and spiritual guidance offered to us in St. Mary's, our Alma Mater, We, the Graduates of 19Sh piously dedicate our yearbook. Sesame With the dedication of our 1951 annual to Mary Immaculate it is our privilege to give special tribute to SISTER MART AMELIA CONGRATULATIONS for twenty-five years of a life consecrated to God, and GRATITUDE for twenty-four of those years spent guiding and instructing the youth of St. Mary's. May this Silver Jubilee so graciously celebrated during the Marian Year lead to twenty-five more years of happiness and fruitful apostolate. Nola arrives un- sxpectedly. She announces the coming of a movie producer for whom she is to sign up for a very youthful role. If she is seen with grown-up children she will never get the part. So, they must sacrifice their identity and dates to help their frivolous Mother. Nola has admitted to having one young daughter. Therefore, Lexie a sixteen- year old who is expecting her soldier friend, has to dress and act like a child of nine. Matt and Muriel pose as the hired help. Bill is perplexed and disgusted by the persistent head- aches which keep Lexie from him. The road ig clear for Arden who is dying to add another conquest to her list of admirers. But, Aunt Lydia speaks her mind and finally Nola realizes her selfishness and the pain she is causing her children. She proves that she can be a real mother. Matt, turns his back on Arden and takes Mary Jo to the dance where he will play his trumpet solo. Muriel signs up with Mrs. Holden in Nola's place, and Lexie clears herself with Bill. —26— 9 i First row. Second row. Third row. The Juniors broadcast the play, The Onward Path.
