We were SENIORS at last! Sr. Marie Odlle was our class achrlsor. The class elected Claire Lafontaine, President? Gerard Fllion, Vioe President; Pearl Lafon- taine. Secretary; Florence Fllion, Treasurer In September we gave a Welcome Par- ty for tbs Freshmen. A very successful food sale was held at Pearl s Department Store. The annual Senior Play, under the able direction of Sr. Robert, took place In November In which three Seniors took part. Th were Rita GregoIre, Pearl La- fontaine, and Florence Fllion. Bernadette Guay, our post-graduate companion, also had a role In it. Pour Seniors held the major offices in the Sodality. Pearl, Rita, Florence, and Claire were again eleoted Varsity Cheerleaders. Florence par- ticipated in our newly-organised S.M.A. Band as a trumpet player. Doug LaValley and his Western Star Ranch Boys furnished the music at our Senior Dance, which was very successful. We have outlined the outstanding events of our high school years. Each had to be planned and carried out, calling forth the cooperation of the class members. Important habits of leadership, teamwork, self-control, and of Catholic living were being unknowingly developed into each one of us. Guiding hands were always ready to help us, and they were those of our teach- ers. After expressing thanks to Reverend Father Desrosiers, and to Reverend Father McCasland, we want to voice our deep appreciation to the Faculty of St. Mary's, as well as to all the Sisters who have in some way contributed to our happy school days. GRADUATION, which lies just around the corner, will launch our happy class out of the quiet harbor of St. Mary's into the billowy sea of life. a -16-
