On a Saturday morning in the year 1962, a woman was reading her newspaper. She stopped abruptly as an article in the paper caught her attention. She must clip this, she thought, and post it in the album she kept. This album contained many such clippings recording the accom- plishments of the 1952 graduating class of St. Mary's Academy. With glad smiles playing about her mouth the lady searched each of the arti- cles over reminiscently as she had done so many times before. This is what she read: We witnessed an odd phenomenon this afternoon. A young lady named Loretta Coache opened a garage a week ago. Today we realized it was not only owned but operated by Miss Coache. She was acting as a garage mechanic, grease monkey, and car washer all in one, and believe it or not, business was fine. The Ayrshire that took first prize at the county fair this year be- longed to Gerald Boire, owner of a huge cattle ranch in Texas. Mr. Boire has been raising prize winners for several years now. Claire Bedard has taken a trip to see her sailor husband. She has given up her job and is taking on the full time job of Sailor's wife which includes visiting many ports, with home port seldom being on the schedule. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police have made another capture. Lead- ing the men to victory was Sergeant Maurice Guerin whose name is becom- ing quite as renowned as that of Sergeant Preston. Agnes Brown has taken the position of customs inspector at the Blackpool custom house. By the way you may have read some of the books she writes as a hobby. One has made the best seller list. June Goven, the wife of a prominent agriculturer has made another successful appearance as a promising young singing star. She is also an actress in her own right. Following in the footsteps of her sisters, Aurianne Bechard has oc- cupied a position in a Washington office for quite some time now. Un- like her sisters though, she married her boss who's a doctor. George Hinerth that famous young comedian of stage and screen is referred to by the critics as a second Jerry Lewis. His latest triumph is a movie called Everyone Beware. Friends have been congratulating Bernadette Guay on her recent pro- motion. It is quite a feat for a woman yet in her twenties to become manager of a chain store. She is happy with her success and can now afford to drive a blue car of her own. James Barbeau after leaving a very brilliant naval career, has en- tered upon an equally great career as a T. V. Villain. His most suc- cessful act is entitled What is it?

Eleanor Chevalier just arrived home this week from her trip to Atlantic City. Now she is back, she is marrying her soldier boyfriend. The journey to Atlantic City was to purchase her trouseau. After traveling almost around the continent, Ellen Murray has come back to Montreal to resume her duties as nurse. At present she has ac- cepted the case of a wealthy banker. Marie Tatro won the pie baking contest at the most talked-about pie bake that the town has yet seen. With all her culinary abilities it is naturally assumed that she keeps her husband well fed and he isn't complaining. Audrey Babbie became the wife of her childhood idol today in an im- pressive wedding ceremony. The bride and groom are planning to make Lake Placid their home. Helen Lafountaine has arrived in New York to become private secre- tary to one of the country's foremost doctors. She is quoted as having said, This is the closest I ever came to my original plan of becoming a nurse. Jean Filion after graduating from the Sorbonne School of Arts, has produced a very outstanding painting called Horses, not unlike Rosa Bonheur's. It is now on exhibition at the Metropolitan Art Gallery. The September of '48 found thirty curious and slightly scared Freshies expectantly watching the Seniors for signs of Initiation. After Initiation had come and gone, we were smugly satisfied that we had proved to be good sports and were now a part of that elevated society, known as High School. Sr. Jeanne of the Rosary was class advisor. Our class officers for the year were: President, J un e Goven; Vice President, Mary Lou Prevost; Secretary, Jean Filion; and Treasurer, Helen Lafontaine. We also demonstrated our social abilities that year by giving a very weird Hallowe'en party which was enjoyed by all. Four of our classmates, George Hinerth, June Goven, James Barbeau, and Louis Glaude took part in the play SURE AS YOU'RE BORN which won first place in the C.C.I.L. Play Contest. George made his oratorical debut in the Speaking Contest by cupping second place with the selection ONE HOSS SHAY. The following year there were just 19 Sophomores enrolled. Our teacher was Sr. Maurice who was recalled to Colebrook in February leaving the Sophs very bewildered by the absence of a homeroom teacher. Our class officers were: President, Mary Lou Prevost; Vice
