5100165 Dedzmlzon , the students of the Yearbook Staff wish to extend our deepest sympathy at the death of Richard Becker by dedicating our Sports Section to him Although it is a ve 1 small deed lt is a very fitting one because as we look back over the vast few years we remark that Dick was one of the most active in this field ne of the forty niners Dmck was a three letterman and partic1oated 1n other activities He was a good student loved by all rms- r ' As a tribute to Richard Becker 8 f1'0'Dhy is given annually to the best athlete of the graduating class It is a hard earned and well deserved gift the winning of it signifies much hardship sportsmanship and outstanding playing The VPODYLY itself is a symbol of an athlete who did eVeTything in his power for the benefit of the team except coach it on to victory
