Mattison 30 . . . To us you will exist in the flowers in the trees and all things of nature God has given us. Peggy, you are now in a world of peace and happiness Forever. Pray for us as we pray for you. And somewhere, sometime, we shall meet again. Love, The Class of '78 Peggy. . . 32 Mary Anne St. Hilaire The moments of the times in the past Have a very special meaning to me. These moments, no matter how short, Will linger on in my mind forever. I have not much time. I have friends to discover And a great many things to understand. Antoine de Saint Exupery David M. Downey Mary Loretan The secret of love is in opening up your heart It's okay to feel afraid but don't let that stand in your way 'cause anyone knows that love is the only road and since we're only here for a while might as well show some style. Give some a smile. James Taylor As for conforming outwardly and living your own life inwardly, I don't think much of that. Henry David Thoreau Kelly Shea 35 Nothing ever happens but Once in this world, What I do now, I do once for all. It is over and gone, with all its eternity of solemn meaning. Carlyle Donna Marie Connor You, who are on the road, must have a code that you can live by and so become yourself because the past is just a goodbye. Crosby, Stills, Nash, Young 36 J. Michael Crucetti He who is not handsome at twenty, nor strong at thirty, nor rich at forty, will never be handsome, strong or rich. William Graney Francis X. Gorman Reality for some people is broader than it is for others, Because they have looked more, lived more read more, experienced more, and thought more Thomas A. Harris Time, Taken away the dull moments of a day. Hanging around on a piece of ground in your home town. Pink Floyd William John Morrissey So on and on I go. Seconds tick the time out, There's so much to know and I'm on the way to find out. Antoine de Saint Exupery Donna Jean O’Neil Happy times and bygone days are never lost In truth, they grow more wonderful within the heart that keeps them. Ray Andrew Jean Salluzzo Here we stand at the gate into our future, the threshold of a thousand new tomorrows. It scares us to think we can never go back but must go forward. I can't help but pause and look back at the road behind us and remember all that has happened. It will never be lost to us but will live forever in our hearts and minds. So as the gate closes behind us, we smile at the new horizon for we have our memories to guide us. 39 Tracy Waters Today is not yesterday. We ourselves change. How then, can our works and thoughts, if they are always to be the fittest, continue always the same. Change, indeed, is painful, yet ever needful; and if memory has its force and worth, so also has hope. Carlyle Carolyn Percy At The Crossroads You to the left and I go to the right, for the ways of men must sever — And it may be for a day and a night — And it may well be forever But whether we meet or whether we part (For our ways are past our knowings), A pledge from the heart to its fellow heart On the ways we all are going! Here's luck! For we know not where we are going Excerpts from Richard Hovey Bernard Graney Joseph Scott Casey Drive-in movies, Friday nights, Drinkin' beer and laughin' Somehow things were always right I just don't know what happened. . . Hey tomorrow, where are you going? Do you have some room for me? 'cause night is failin' and the dawn is callin' I'll have a new day, if she'll have me. Jim Croce Reach Sometimes I stop and wonder, Why can't I let myself enjoy The space I'm in? And all the wonderful places I've been My eyes are on the future And I can't think about the past My aspirations always exceed my grasp. Orleans David Delurey 41 The question is not yet settled . . . Whether madness is or is not the loftiest intelligence, whether much that is glorious, whether all that is profound — does not spring from the disease of thoughts — from moods of mind exalted at the expense of the general intellect. Edgar Allen Poe While my soul retains the power to think upon each faded year In every bright or shadowed hour My heart shall hold my alma mater dear. Martha Weight Mary C. Hyde 42 Happiness is where you are and what you want to be. If you look you're sure to find the rainbow of your dreams. Tomorrow's fuller than a thousand yesterdays, With a vision of a new day in your heart. Brother Gregory Norbet, O.S.B. That's what I say, Duckie! Don't grumble! Don't stew! Some critters are much- much, Oh, ever so much-much, So muchly much-much more unlucky than you! Theodor Seuss Geisel 43 Frances Hayden I think I could turn and live with the animals. For in them is no war, hate or love. It is a peaceful society among friends. Mary Teresa Brott Loving, giving, receiving which He has taught. Freedom in thoughts, in movements which He has given to me. My life shall always reflect His greatness. This Day by Laura Hope Wood This day I'll walk beside a sparkling stream that winds its way into a quiet wood. Reflecting in its depth a passing cloud . . . on grassy banks find peace and quietude. This day I'll take a path down to the shore on silver sand. I'll walk beside the sea. To feel the sea-washed air upon my face, as white-capped waves roll in to welcome me. This day I'll see in all this beauty near. The peace and joy that nature seems to give. The morning sun will find a thankful heart that in this glory God will let me live. Kathryn Ropitzky Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead. Louisa May Alcott Ann Marie Ramsey Remembering my class in days past, some have grown some not so fast Remembering the fun we've had the tricks we've played. Remembering the good memories as we as we part our separate ways, maybe to meet again some day. Barbara Ann Greenwood When I think of the joys and the laughter, and friendly assurances sent, I come to the conclusion that my memory's an illusion of time I consider well spent. 46 Kimberly Flood I'm a Road Runner baby, can't stay in one place too long. Peter Frampton William Johnson Looking back it is hard to believe all of the things that we did. We've had good times and bad, happy and sad, but we've made it. And when the final curtain closes we shall go forward and depend on our memories to guide us. And maybe someday we'll meet again. Deborah Wittenberg Lora, I was born a rambling man Tryin' to make a living and doin' the best I can When it's time for leavin' I hope you'll understand That I was born a ramblin' man. Beating opponents with scores like 15-1,15-0 frequently, the team placed 2nd in the Northern Conference. The Varsity Volleyball Team, coached by Nancy Martelle, finished the 1977-78 season with a 6-4 record. The team traveled to Shendahowa to participate in the Class E sectionals. In the first game the Eagles defeated Broadalbin in the first two matches out of three. Within 15 minutes the Eagles were battling out another game against Perth. Unfortunately they lost.
