Since the purpose of education is to know God, it seems fitting that our class rings should be blessed. Our blessed class ring is presented to us with the hope that it will remind us of the obligation of leading exemplary lives as a result of that education. We will cherish our rings as something precious and wear them proudly for they proclaim to all our loyalty to our school. Dedication The meeting Pope Paul had with the Orthodox Patriarch Athenagoras of Constanti- nople was a historic event for Christendom. Both spiritual leaders joined in prayer during a Christian unity service in St. Peter's Basilica in the latter part of last fall 1967. Pope Paul made a gift of a 16th century crucifix to his guest, following the 90-minute conference on the 2nd day of the Patriarch's visit with the Holy Father. A message of cordial gratitude was exchanged between them following the Patri- arch's visit. Both these messages expressed a true and profound desire for unity, peace, spiritual joy and fraternal union. Let us pray that this is a sign of the times heralding, finally, that great promise and desire of the Heart of Christ, That they all may be one.
